JOB POSITION #71: DATA AND SOFTWARE SUPPORT COMMITTEE

NUMBER OF VACANCIES:  3

DEPARTMENT:   Farmington Fire Dept.

WORK LOCATION:  Fire Department

HIRING RANGE:  Additional $.25 an hour

PAY CLASS:   Tech Pay

JOB DUTIES

The Duties outlined below are in addition to duties performed in the currently held position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Provides support to personal computer (PC) users to resolve minor problems with software operations

Provides support to mobile computer users to resolve minor software issues

Trains PC/Mobile users in the use of various software programs and new hardware

Provides support to shift personnel on minor issues with Firehouse software

Provides support to shift personnel on minor issues with Telestaff software

Provides support to shift personnel on issues with Target Solutions software

Provide support to future purchased software as needed by the Fire Department

Must be willing to attend necessary trainings on software or hardware used by the Fire Department

Attends all scheduled committee meetings

Runs reports or queries as assigned by the agency

Performs other duties as assigned

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

On occasion serves on various committees.

May be assigned to, or assist with special projects as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have completed at least one (1) year as a firefighter in good standing with the Farmington Fire Department at the time of selection.

Must be a New Mexico State Certified EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician B Basic).

Must have a valid driver's license applicable to fire apparatus.

Must have a working knowledge of the features, performances and operation of various computer operating systems and various PC/Mobile software applications; the ability to analyze and interpret technical information from manuals; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff end users; and ability to comprehend new technologies and integrate them into the current environment.

Must attend all scheduled meetings/trainings to remain on the team.

Failure to meet criteria may result in dismissal from the team or loss of add pay.
